Prayer for the Remnants of God's Kingdom
1. Core Message of the Prayer
Lord, Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:7–13 (KJV):
“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Also, Lord, in Matthew 6:31–34 (KJV), You said:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:28 (KJV):
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
God our Father, Your kingdom—established according to Your divine economy—was planned before the foundation of the world. Help us understand that praying for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven is the mission entrusted to the remnant in this final age.
Holy Spirit, remind us that in Scripture, the “remnant” refers to God’s holy people—those purified through discipline and suffering, set apart in the world, and preserved to the end.
Lord, in 1 Peter chapters 1 and 2 (KJV), God comforts these remnants and describes in detail how precious and special their identity is:
“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ... Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time... That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ... But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” (1 Peter 1:2–7, 2:9)
Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You that the remnants who have received the salvation of their souls through the economy of grace now belong to the “kingdom of priests”—a privilege granted by God.
Help us understand that just as the sons of Aaron in the Old Testament were born into the priestly office, the remnants of this age are also spiritually born into the role of priests.
God our Father, help us remember that these remnants, as priests, offer three types of sacrifices to You:
The dedication of their living bodies
The fruit of lips that give thanks and praise
Acts of service offered in faith
Lord, as Your return draws near in this final age, remind us that rather than praying based on human interpretations of world events, the most important mission entrusted to the remnants is to intercede and pray according to Your Word.
Jesus, believing in the power of prayer You taught, when 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000, or 1 million people pray with one heart and the same purpose—following the prayer content posted on onenewmanvoice.com—we will see Your promises fulfilled.
Lord, we pray with expectation for the day when, in the temple of God’s glory, Jesus Christ will be the new light—where the sun and moon are no longer needed. We long for the new heaven and new earth, the Lord’s new people who are saved, the holy New Jerusalem as the bride of the Lamb, and the place of glory where our names are written in heaven’s book of life.
2. Scripture Texts for Prayer
1) The Remnant in the Old Testament
God our Father, at the center of Your heart for this earth has always been Israel. In Deuteronomy 32:8–10 (KJV), You declared that You made Israel Your inheritance and protected them like the apple of Your eye:
“When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance... Jacob is the lot of his inheritance... he kept him as the apple of his eye.”
Because Israel repeatedly sinned, You used Gentile nations as instruments of discipline. But even they could not escape Your righteous judgment.
Thank You, Father, that You always preserve a faithful few—Your remnant. They transcend their era and environment, holding fast to Your covenant until the end.
We remember Noah and his family (Genesis 6–9). Even in the flood, You preserved righteous Noah, especially Shem, whom You set apart (Genesis 9:26–27). Through this Semitic line, You revealed Yourself and ultimately brought forth Christ in the flesh.
We also remember the 7,000 in Elijah’s time (1 Kings 19:18 KJV):
“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal...”
You, the faithful God, never sleep. You are always working.
We believe the “Day of the Lord” corresponds to the final destruction of Gentile world powers, followed by Christ’s return in glory.
Isaiah 10:20–22 (KJV):
“The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God... Though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return...”
After the Babylonian captivity, You warned the nations yet preserved a remnant in Israel through whom You would fulfill Your salvation plan.
Zephaniah 3:12–13 (KJV):
“I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD... neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth...”
Let Your Word be fulfilled, just as You have spoken.
2) The Remnant in the New Testament
Lord Jesus, thank You that in the New Testament, those who believe in You and remain faithful are called the remnant.
Romans 11:5 (KJV):
“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”
In these last days—marked by war, famine, plague, and persecution—You will use this remnant to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom.
Matthew 24:13–14 (KJV):
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached... and then shall the end come.”
In Revelation, the remnant is described as those who obey Your commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Revelation 12:17 (KJV):
“The dragon... went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
Revelation 14:12 (KJV):
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
We glorify You, Lord, for the faithful remnant that will endure, return to You, and shine as guardians of the faith in the final days.
3. Today’s Application
Lord God, help us see that the idea of a remnant is not just historical—it’s a living call today. Those who remain faithful in trial, obey Your Word, and follow Jesus are Your remnant now.
Thank You for trusting us with this sacred task.
You have called both Jews and Gentiles to holiness, unity, and reconciliation through the Spirit, that spirit, soul, and body may be preserved blameless.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV):
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly... spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 9:23–27 (KJV):
“Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles... Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.”
Lord, help us understand that those You’ve prepared for these last days are called to fulfill the mission of the One New Man—a ministry deeply feared by the enemy.
Ephesians 1:10 (KJV):
“That... he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth...”
Your plan is to bring heaven and earth into unity in Christ, not just to save individuals but to restore all creation.
After the Great White Throne Judgment, all opposing powers will be destroyed, and Satan will be cast into the eternal lake of fire.
We praise You for calling us to be a new humanity in Christ—to take part in restoring, expanding, and completing Your kingdom.
4. Prayer for the Remnant
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling us as remnants in this generation—to intercede, serve, and prepare for the completion of God’s kingdom.
Thank You for revealing to us, through all of Scripture, how You have used the remnant to build Your kingdom on earth.
Have mercy on our weaknesses. Make us temples of the Holy Spirit. May the Spirit guide our words, actions, thoughts—even our unconscious lives.
Help us joyfully fulfill our role as the Bride prepares for the Lamb.
Seal our souls in Jesus’ name and write Your covenant on our hearts.
Holy Spirit, let Your anointing remain in us—not by human teaching, but by Your truth—so we may always walk in victory.
Let us abide in Christ, and may His Word abide in us. May only Christ be revealed in and through us—today and tomorrow.
Let the life and power of the true King—Jesus Christ, Judge of all and Messiah of Israel—overflow in us.
You said the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
Clothe the remnant in the armor of light. Grant us the authority to trample serpents and overcome all the power of the enemy.
Make us victorious in spiritual warfare. May our prayers be the channels through which the One New Man gospel flows—building up a Church that unites Jew and Gentile in Christ.
Thank You, Lord, for setting us apart as remnants—to build Your dwelling place through the Church, the body of Christ, in one Spirit.
We pray all of this in the holy name of Jesus, the King of kings.
Amen.
